Rob,
I am truly pleased that you have returned to critique my images. There was a time that I thought that you had given up on me. Most of the folks that looked at, Approaching Storm, Conejos Canyon were very cool with their comments. I believe that they either tried to analyze it or do not enjoy B&W images. Personally I liked it and plan posting more Infrared Images in the future. I am writing to you from 11,000 feet, (304 meters) in the San Juan mountains, still in search of that perfect image. Please stay with me on the comments as yours is always most welcomed.

Thank you very much for your coments on my, El Santuario de Chimayo. This is a charming mission. The town of Chimayo (New Mexico) is also a wonderful place to capture images. They are known for their red peppers. Strings, or "Ristas" can be seen hanging from houses eveywhere.

Rob my Busted up Friend;
Please forgive the long delay in answering your comments about my, Solitude Reworked image. This is my busy season and I am rarely home long enough to answer all of the wonderful (and not so wonderful) comments left by everyone. I want to thank you for your kind words and visit to my Solitude and hope that your stay brought you a calmness that I felt as I photographed it.

Hi again Rob. It was a really good start to see you "pop up" on my first steam-train image in my series of photos. "Dylta" is one of the best shots, I think and I appreciate your "secret" top voting very much. I´ve missed your series here lately..I wonder if you´re maybe a bit disappointed by the new random voting system without descriptions..(I am..) Don´t think it´s possible to form a fair opinion of an image created together with a description if you cannot read it..!?
Anyway, Thanks very much for your comment, Rob ! -- Arne --

Hello Rob,
thanks for your positive reflections on "Reflection"!
The photo is real, no tricks ,no editing, it is a pool reflection.
The pool is in an old wharf in Den Helder (Holland) and is now used for fun.
Kids can rent motorised rubber boats and have an indoor ride.
And of course I was ahead of them before they could spoil the "mirror".
Thanks, Paul

I am in total shock at the number of comments and PM's that I have received asking me to stay on. Yours being on of the ones that has had me reflecting on my choices. Thanks for clearing my head. I will be staying for awhile to see if Caedes makes those changes that we discussed in a couple of PM's. I will be contacting you soon to ask permission to post an image that I have been working on.

This year we are celebrating Christmas as well as Halloween. We were going to include Easter too but the Bunny kept running away. Oh well there is always next years portrait to look forward to. Both Cameraannie and I feel that we do not need any makeup as we are the most beautiful couple on the face of the earth. We keep hearing people murmur something about love being blind or something like that. By the way the gasses were a Wal-Mart Special. Buy one and get nine pair free. Don't they make me look young and handsome? My son Robert, who is a bit more off center than me, has asked for a couplre of wallet size photos so he can carry them and show all of his fellow co-workers images of his Mom and Dad and then sit back and listen to what they have to say. !:0)Thank for viewing our Annual Portrait of Cameraannie and fotobob

Thanks Rob for the nice comments on my Bee Blossom image. I love making these close-up shots but it's often hard getting these little guy to hold still long enough to lock in the focus. Shot at iso50, f11 with fill flash using the telephoto-macro mode.

Bee Blossom 2 is a tight crop of an off center image that I took during the Cherry Blossom Festival. This composition seems to work well and I appreciate your support. Thanks Rob for taking the time to view and comment on this image.

Hey Rob. It's quite a compliment to be offerred to "duel" with you, but in truth I am now working on a team trying to beat the hurricane season to repair the flood protection in New Orleans before the next storm hits. It leaves me very little time for photography or even participation in the Caedes community. We're under a sixty-hour week mandate until the flood protection is repaired, so I must decline your offer.

I really am not very good at demand photography anyway as witnessed by my inability to *ever* come up with anything for the contests we have here, so I wouldn't be very good competition. Thanks my friend, and keep snapping!

hi Rob,

Love your "sheesh" series. I must admit, 1 & 2 are my favourites - I think it's the subject's saying sheesh, not we the observers! And what an brand-new baby elephant you've captured, she's fabulous (are these guys all from the MTZ?).

cheers, kim

Thanks for you comment on To Sail Beyond the Sunset. I agree about the boat .. but it wouldn't turn around!! Looking at the picture again I can see it could use a touch of sharpening too. Oh well.

Thanks Rob for the comments on "Blue Lake Eve".Yes, the transition from day to night is an interesting time to do some photography. That was one of the first I took with the new camera and is not quite sharp enough for me but again that time of day can be forgiving for an off sharp photo such as this...

I love this site and everyone I've met has stimulated my artistic side in some way or another. I am embarrassed to say this, but I guess I've missed this message portion of Caedes all this time, as I have just spent the last hour and a half reading over all the kind comments and thanks from ppl to whom I have left posts on their uploads. I usually drop a personal message when ppl comment on mine, but I suppose this is a better way to do it. So my apologies to all...I'll endeavor to do a better job in the future. Every time I turn around on here, there is yet something more to explore, so I want to thank each and every one of you for all your kind comments and the time you take to look at our posts and leave a line or two. I'm sure enjoying my photographic side much more now that I've found this site and all the wonderful ppl on it :)PJ

Thank you...VERY MUCH. Your comment on my O Holy Night image is greatly appreciated. I understand that feeling you had and I am glad you and "Quiet" experienced that beautiful dinner/event together.

Rob wrote about `Dutch tradition"
I too have enjoyed entirely too many oilebol, but then again, celebrated entirely too many New Years too come to think of it! ...the oilebol was better. That along with Upple Fluppa (horrible spelling here), spiced Gouda with Rusks and a few other unpronounceable delicacies.

Hoi, Rob!
Thanks for your funny comment! "Great Humor"
I hope you doing well on the first New Year day!
Have a great time this year!

Hello Rob! I've been unable to spend the amount of time on caedes like I want too and I'm way behind on my comments. Although I haven't had the time to comment on your images lately, I have viewed, enjoyed and drawn inspiration from them. Thanks for sharing them with us.
