David,
Thanks so much for your kind words regarding Everywhere Sky, they're much appreciated. Glad you liked it. I'm glad you plan on checking out the HDR software. I've been truly blown away by some of the images I've seen (by others) who have mastered this software (Check out the HDR images on Flikr.com). It's such a veresaitle software. I can't wait until I'm more proficient with it. I was pleased enough with Everywhere Sky and Displaced to post them but I know I have a ways to go yet. I'm finding myslef beginning to think wabout what setting/lighting/composition might look best using HDR software. HDR software is best suited for extreme lighting situation to my mind and I plan on taxing it's abilites again soon (this shot was my first example of taking that next step). Good luck and let me know how you like it. I started with the trial version myself and new instantly that it was for me. As a former illustrator, I particularily like it's ability to create "illustration like" images which can be fairly easily manipulated. Take care.

I am thrilled to find all the positive attention Dunajec castle received. Who could ask for more? If I knew it would be examined in detail with a magnifying glass and would give raise to serious discourse I would have tried my best to avoid all the shortcomings. Anyway I believe it is still an eye pleasing view. Thank you for your warm comment.

Hi David. I'm glad you stopped by to look at my "Fine Rose" picture. I simply studied a paper flower and started working with the different shapes I saw in it. Then I simply added more elements such as leaves and vines as I wanted them in the drawing. I used a program called PagePlus 11. It has really fabulous features to draw just about anything but that is not what the program is primarily for. It really is a publishing program. It has a great line of effects that are greatly adjustable. It is no substitute for Photoshop but it ranks up there in my opinion. Glad you asked.

So nice you dropped by to get some rest under snow cover, David. I hope this winter related poem by James A. Kisner will please you as much as my image did…

“…The soft flakes feel like drops of ice when drifting on my face,
And everything feels fresh and clean as I walk through this place.
The trees are covered with a coat of freshly fallen snow,
Then some have icy branches that give off a crystal glow.

The only sound that I can hear is little wisps of wind,
But only for a moment then the air is still again.
My heart is overflowing with a feeling from within,
A gentle, soothing, calming feeling comes to me again…”

Take care

Thank you very much for your advice on "The Mustangs of Las Colinas", Mr. Oliver. This is a very big sculpture. The big horses are about 9 feet tall. They are surrounded by ofice buildings on 3 sides. My uncle asked if there was any place the people who did not work there could take a picture from above but all the guards in all the buildings said, "No". :(

David thank you for your comments and your information on "Signs of Autumn". You are in fact correct about these being teasels. I have confirmed this with my boss, Mrs braces. I know practically nothing about plants and flowers but I do know when something looks good enough to photograph.
